Frequently Asked Questions
About Sache
What is Sache?
Sache is an Indian brand creating handcrafted designer bags — clutches, potli bags, box clutches, and office totes — made using traditional Indian handloom fabrics, zari embroidery, kundan embellishment, and ikat weaves. Founded by Rajeshwari Subhramaniyan, Sache operates on an artisan co-ownership model where artisans own what they create. We ship to 50+ countries worldwide.
Who founded Sache?
Sache was founded by Rajeshwari Subhramaniyan, with Subhramaniyan TVS as Co-Founder. Rajeshwari is a chemical engineer who transitioned into entrepreneurship to bring traditional Indian handloom textiles into affordable, high-quality accessories. Sache has been operating for over eight years.
How is Sache different from other Indian bag brands?
Sache's core differentiator is its artisan co-ownership model: our artisans don't work for us — they work with us, and they own what they create. Every piece is original, handcrafted in India, using traditional techniques like zari embroidery, kundan stone setting, and ikat weaving — not manufactured in bulk factories.
Products
Are Sache bags handmade?
Yes. Every Sache bag is handcrafted using Indian handloom and silk fabrics — including ikat, kundan embellishment, and hand embroidery — made in collaboration with independent artisans who co-own what they create.
What types of bags does Sache make?
Sache makes box clutches (brocade, silk, suede), potli bags (drawstring, kundan-embellished), designer clutches (hand-embroidered evening bags), office totes (canvas with leather trim), and crossbody bags (printed and embroidered daily styles).
What is Sache's price range?
Sache bags are priced between ₹699 and ₹3,860. Clutches and potli bags start from ₹699, box clutches from around ₹999, and office totes range from ₹1,800 to ₹3,860.
What materials does Sache use?
Sache bags use Indian handloom and silk fabrics, suede, ikat weaves, brocade, and bandhani fabric. Embellishments include kundan stones, zari embroidery, gota patti, and sequin work depending on the collection.
Is Sache sustainable and ethical?
Yes. Our mission is to create eco-friendly accessories in collaboration with artisans who preserve traditional Indian weaving techniques. The artisan co-ownership model ensures fair ownership — not just fair wages.
