The Scaling Scorecard — Free

Can your business actually take more?

Fifteen honest questions about what you've built. At the end you'll get a score out of 30, the stage you're really at, and the one bottleneck holding everything else up.

Not a personality quiz. It looks at the five things that decide whether a small business can grow or just gets busier: your offer, real demand, whether strangers can find you, whether it runs without you, and whether you could handle three times the orders tomorrow.

Answer honestly — a flattering score helps nobody. Nothing is saved until you choose to send it.

1. Your offer

Whether you know exactly what you sell, to whom, and at what margin.

Can you say in one sentence who your product is for — and who it isn't for?

Do you know what one order actually costs you — materials, packaging, fees, shipping?

If you doubled your price tomorrow, would you know what would happen?

2. Proof that people want it

Whether strangers buy, or only people who know you.

Have strangers — not friends, family or acquaintances — bought from you?

Has anyone bought from you more than once?

Do you know which product actually sells best — by units, not by what you like?

3. Whether people can find you

Whether customers arrive when you aren't posting.

If you stopped posting on social media for a month, would orders still come in?

Do you have your own website where someone can buy without messaging you?

Do you know how many people visited you last month? Not followers — visitors.

4. Whether it runs without you

Whether the business is a business, or a job you gave yourself.

When someone enquires and goes quiet, what happens?

Do you have your customers' contact details somewhere you own — not just inside an app?

If you took two weeks off, what would happen?

5. Whether you could take more

The question most people never ask before chasing growth.

If you got three times your usual orders next week, could you fulfil them?

How much of your week goes on admin — listings, captions, replies, packing lists?

Is there anything written down that someone else could follow to run your orders?

Please answer all fifteen questions — the score only means something if it's complete.
