Where Marigolds Met Moonlight — A Rajasthani Celebration Wrapped in Gold

The opulent and sun-drenched wedding of Isha Mehta, a fashion consultant, and Rohan Singhania, an architect, unfolded across three golden evenings at the iconic Samode Palace, Jaipur. With planning and design masterfully crafted by Gulabi Events & Weddings, the décor drew deeply from Rajasthan's royal heritage — layered with marigold cascades, hand-blocked textiles, and the warm glow of brass diyas. Every element, from the carved wooden mandap to the hand-painted welcome walls, was chosen to honour the land and its legacy of grandeur.

Wedding Planning

Priya Kapoor of Gulabi Events & Weddings shares, "Isha and Rohan wanted their guests to feel like they had stepped into a living painting. We worked with local artisans for every installation — from the phool bangla to the meenakari centrepieces — and let the palace do the rest of the talking."

Mehndi

The mehndi was held in the palace's open-air courtyard, dressed in a riot of saffron, magenta, and lime. Low seating on hand-woven dhurries surrounded by earthen pots of marigolds created an intimate, village-fair warmth. Isha arrived in a canary-yellow sharara, her wrists already adorned with delicate henna from the master mehndiwali flown in from Jodhpur. She carried a small zardozi potli clutch in deep amber — its gold threadwork catching every flicker of the afternoon sun. Looking for something similar? Sangeet

The sangeet transformed the courtyard into a starlit stage. Rajasthani folk musicians played alongside a live ghazal singer, while the family performed choreographed sets under a canopy strung with vintage lanterns and cascading roses. The bride wore a deep teal lehenga with gota-patti borders, and the groom matched in a bandhgala of the same hue. For guests looking to complete a festive look, our Burnt Gold Organza Zari Batua or the Tomato Red Batua Clutch are stunning sangeet companions.

Wedding

The pheras took place at sunrise — a deliberate, breathtaking choice. The mandap was built from fresh jasmine and tuberose, and the scent alone was enough to still the crowd. Isha's bridal lehenga was a rich crimson with antique gold embroidery, paired with a heritage polki set and a hand-embroidered bridal clutch, gifted by her grandmother and carrying a generation of memory within its folds. Recreate this bridal moment with our Kundan Embellished Box Clutch — a timeless piece designed for the Indian bride.
